I come here first for almost everything. The BoM management tools are a welcome bonus.

#1 place to order all your high quality electronic components. Vast inventory and fast secure shipping. Multiple repeat orders for me over the years. Never a problem. Highly recommend.

I love digikey, they always have whatever parts or supplies I need; but for being an electronics company, their app is among the worst I’ve ever had the displeasure of using. The UI is incredibly buggy, things like having to tap below the button I’m trying to press, or having to add or remove search filters multiple times before it actually applies. But what really does it for me, is that half the time I try to add an item to my cart, it gives me a pop up that says something along the lines of “we’ve encountered an error, please try again later”. Furthermore, I haven’t been able to create or add anything to a wishlist. The final straw was earlier today, I had had enough and deleted then redownloaded the app. I figured I’d log in again and hopefully I can at least have a wishlist to add to. But nope! It won’t even let me sign in! It says something like “this account is pending and should be processed in 24 hours” EVEN THOUGH I’VE HAD THIS ISSUE FOR WEEKS! I may be a small fry when compared to companies buying in bulk, but I will no longer buy from DigiKey until they fix this godawful app.

The app is pretty handy when making a parts list for a project. Would be extremely useful if DigiKey could add a parts cross reference/substitution feature. Always wind up having to buy obsolete parts from Chinese suppliers with questionable quality.

So nice to whip out my iPhone, open app and search for my parts. No more post it notes on notepads getting lost or forgotten where. Shipping is reasonable and so are prices for what these items are. Can’t run down to Walmart and pick this stuff up ya know. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!

Constant 403/500, support is unresponsive.

DigiKey is a great company to work with. They are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Missing the BOM feature. Using the shopping cart instead (for now) maybe the shopping cart contents can be moved into a BOM.

Please make it a little faster though? Redesign still buggy and no sort by on values

Trying to get the data sheet prior to purchase to verify my necessity. The sheet previews Half the description and uses, the complete first half blocked out. Have other sites do this also. Don’t make sense??? Buy and then research???

Well, it worked when I first downloaded it, but now the app is rife with errors. It appears to be utterly unable to browse products, review orders, or really do anything useful. Disappointing.

App redirects you to the Digi-Key website to login but it does not work. Pressing the feedback button also does nothing. Worthless garbage of an app.

Love this company and they did a really good job with this app.

The app won’t let me sign in. I already had a account and customer number from Digi-Key. It repeatedly tells me wrong password when I can sign in with NO issues on the website. I hope they make this better because Digi-Key is my favorite parts store and the app is completely unusable.

Mouser clearly has the upper hand these days. Received wrong parts and a module with transistors ripped off is just....unacceptable. Especially on time sensitive projects.

This app looks good and works fine but need to wait couple of seconds every time I tap on something. Also signs me out every once in a while.

App is too slow

This used to be a great app. Now it has been dumbed down to the point where it is painful for anybody whose primary purpose is to research and buy components. It also gives spurious error messages. With every update it keeps getting worse. It has significantly reduced the amount I buy from Digikey. My time is sufficiently valuable that I buy from whoever causes me the least pain. This shouldn’t be a race to the bottom.

This app isn’t perfect but it’s worked well enough. There have been a few instances where items haven’t loaded their add to cart / quantity sections. Additionally searching for items is a bit clumsy and many categories are lost in misleading drop-down menus. That being said, DigiKey has never had the most stellar user experience design. So, I’m overall happy with the app.

Just make it easier to remove items in a cart instead of making a new cart to select a certain item to purchase.

Cannot add to existing filter. Must start again from scratch every time. Frustrating.

Digi-Key is a no-nonsense, rapid response one stop shop for electronic parts. They’ve got spec sheets too. What a fantastic resource, and there’s an app for that! I’m no stooge, just a happy customer!! I highly recommend Digi-Key; they’re much friendlier than Newark, too.

When I found Digi-Key I was literally overwhelmed with joy finally having all the tech I could want in the palm of my hand thank u so much lol.

After filling my cart and going to check out, I tried to login first only to see my cart cleared. Fortunately logging out restored my cart, but forced me to enter all my personal information again. Now, writing this review, I’m getting a white font on white background so I have no ideas how many typos there are. App was better 3 years ago.

Gives “The page you are trying to access is no longer available” after attempting to sign in.

Updating my review: previously I’d mentioned that the earlier version was glitchy and the checkout process was confusing. The latest version improves things to the point that I’m happy to give this 4 stars now. All the iPhone 12 UI glitches are gone, and the ordering process is much improved - no more “did that actually go through” moments. Great response from the developers!

Ideally you would expect this app to allow you to monitor and submit orders. Neither is really possible. Doesn’t even support the iPhone notch, just to tell you how dated it is On top of that expedited shipping takes weeks.

Parametric search was far better the way it was.

I’m able to fill my cart but unable to submit my purchase. The app complains about my address. I tried to fill in the extra 4 digits of my zip code but it fails to update it. I then tried to submit a complaint via the app but that also failed.

How is this app so highly rated?! Digikey’s inventory is massive, and I know that because the search is so incredibly basic and lacks so many advanced functions it’s literally impossible to find what you’re looking for… at all. Good luck sifting through you 9,000+ search results on your iphone, 10 at a time. And if you want to modify your search? NOPE! Start over, friend. Does anyone at Digikey actually use their own app to find stuff? If they did, they’d see how useless it is.

I’d prefer to use Digi-Key for purchases, but the app routinely fails or dead-ends. End up buying lesser quality components from mouser instead thanks to their much better app shopping interface.

The requirement to login each time defeats the purpose of using an app. I’ll just use a web page.

Not liking the Digikey app at all. I am not sure how to filter the list of devices presented.

This iOS app is nonsense compared to the web version. Parts search by parameters is impossible. Or so obscured I can’t select just what I am looking for. This app is gone.

This app is not as good as the Digikey website. It’s not intuitive and it has limited filtering

I’ve been using the DigiKey app for about two months and find the search functionality fantastic, filtering options are plentiful, and the speed of the app is awesome. Thanks for a great product!!

Crashes quite a bit. And so many errors keep popping up when I try to do things like edit shipping address or update cart qty. Digi-Key is great. Just wish they would put more thought into making their app more usable.

This is a delightful intuitive app to use that doesn’t feel like a re-branded web page. Thought and effort have gone into making it I even had a small problem with the app, wrote a review detailing the issue, and the devs fixed the problem! I wish all companies would be as thoughtful when making app versions of their web page

Whenever I search for a part and tap the search results, Pandora stops playing.

I occasionally have trouble signing in. Sometimes it just doesn’t work. Trend towards doing my ordering on laptop.

This app was really done right. It is actually very useful, especially compared to Mouser’s nightmare of an app.
